Michael Blakley joined RDB Solutions as a Business Development Manager after a career in the hardwood plywood and veneer industry where he served in a sales and marketing capacity for Columbia Forest Products and States Industries. He began his plywood career, starting at Columbia’s flagship mill in Klamath Falls, Oregon and later transferred to the corporate marketing group in Portland, Oregon.
He has a strong commitment and passion for all things related to the building materials and wood products industries and credits his career enjoyment to several of his mentors who were great advisers and friends.
Michael also reports that a couple of career highlights involved winning a statewide award for a Chamber of Commerce magazine and for being part of a unique industry marketing program rolled out by Columbia Forest Products in 2001.
A native Oregonian, he enjoys swimming and hiking and occasionally does some free-lance writing for a Central Oregon business publication. He earned a degree in Journalism and Communications from the University of Oregon.
